(Thủy sản Việt Nam) – Theo đó, giai đoạn 2020 – 2025, Bến Tre phát triển ngành công nghiệp tôm ứng dụng công nghệ cao được hình thành tại các vùng sản xuất trọng điểm trên địa bàn tỉnh. Đến năm 2025, tổng diện tích nuôi tôm trên địa bàn tỉnh đạt 37.420 ha; trong đó, tôm nước lợ 35.520 ha, tôm càng xanh 1.900 ha. Tổng giá trị kim ngạch xuất khẩu các sản phẩm tôm đạt 53 triệu USD.
Áp dụng công nghệ cao trong nuôi tôm giúp tăng năng suất
Để đạt được những mục tiêu trên, Bến Tre đang phát triển mô hình hợp tác, liên kết hộ nuôi, cơ sở sản xuất nhỏ lẻ lại thành THT, HTX để tạo ra vùng sản xuất nguyên liệu lớn; tập trung làm đầu mối liên kết với doanh nghiệp cung ứng vật tư đầu vào và tiêu thụ sản phẩm theo chuỗi giá trị, giảm bớt khâu trung gian. Một số vùng sản xuất nông nghiệp kém hiệu quả chuyển đổi thành vùng nuôi thủy sản chuyên canh, phù hợp với quy hoạch, gắn với chế biến và thị trường tiêu thụ; ưu tiên thực hiện các dự án xây dựng cơ sở hạ tầng, đặc biệt là hệ thống kênh cấp, thoát đối với vùng nuôi tôm tập trung, vùng nuôi tôm ứng dụng công nghệ cao tại 3 huyện Ba Tri, Bình Đại và Thạnh Phú. Thực tế cho thấy, tại Bến Tre có rất nhiều mô hình nuôi tôm ứng dụng công nghệ cao, bước đầu mang lại hiệu quả thiết thực. Năng suất mô hình nuôi tôm chân trắng thâm canh đạt 8 tấn/ha/vụ; tôm sú 5,5 tấn/ha/vụ; quảng canh, tôm lúa từ 200 – 250 kg/ha/vụ; nuôi tôm 2 giai đoạn với năng suất rất cao khoảng 180 tấn/ha mặt nước nuôi/năm.
Mục tiêu đến năm 2020, đạt 1.200 ha nuôi tôm hai giai đoạn; đặc biệt, hình thức nuôi tôm chân trắng hai giai đoạn đang được phát triển khá mạnh với diện tích 780 ha, sản lượng 12.000 tấn.
