Nếu như khoảng 1 tháng trước đây, giá tôm hùm Alaska nhập khẩu dao động từ 950.000 – 1.100.000 đồng/kg với tất cả các size từ 0,5kg – 5kg thì hiện giá loại tôm này đã tăng 100.000 – 200.000 đồng/kg, lên 1.050.000 – 1.250.000 đồng/kg.
Trao đổi với chị Thanh Thủy, nhân viên tại một công ty nhập khẩu hải sản Canada tại Hà Nội, chị cho biết, khoảng 1 tháng trước đây giá tôm hùm Alaska công ty chị để cho các đại lý là 900.000 đồng/kg tất cả các size, thì hiện nay giá là 1.010.000 đồng/kg, còn bán lẻ ra ngoài là 1.060.000 đồng/kg.

“Từ giờ đến Tết giá tôm hùm Alaska sẽ còn tăng cao. Giá thay đổi theo mỗi đợt hàng về, nhưng chắc sẽ tăng lên khoảng 100.000 – 200.000 đồng/kg nữa. Hiện bên Trung Quốc đang tăng cường nhập khẩu tôm hùm Alaska với số lượng lớn, nhiều khi không có hàng để lấy. Mỗi tuần công ty tôi nhập 2 đợt, mỗi đợt không dưới nửa tấn, mà vừa rồi đợt Quốc khánh Trung Quốc còn không nhập được cân nào. Đợt Tết dương lịch sắp tới phải cạnh tranh gay gắt với bên Trung Quốc, không biết có nhập được hàng không nữa, trong khi nhiều đại lý ở các tỉnh đã đặt hàng số lượng lớn từ bây giờ. Vì vậy, giá tôm hùm Alaska từ nay đến cuối năm chỉ tăng chứ không giảm”, chị Thủy cho biết.
Trong khi giá tôm hùm nhập khẩu tăng cao thì giá tôm hùm thương phẩm trong nước cũng tăng, nhưng người nuôi tôm hùm tại nhiều địa phương ven biển cho rằng mức giá này vẫn thấp so với công sức và chi phí bỏ ra.
Trao đổi với chị Thu Nga, một người bán tôm hùm thương phẩm tại Phú Yên, chị cho biết giá tôm hùm xanh hiện chị bán cho khách lẻ là 900.000 đồng/kg size 2-3 lạng; 1,1 triệu/kg size 4-5 lạng và gần 2 triệu/kg size 1kg đổ lên.

“Mấy hôm nay tôm hùm bắt đầu lên giá, size từ 1kg trở lên trước chỉ 1,3 triệu/kg thì giờ đã lên gần 2 triệu/kg rồi. Các size khác tăng từ 100.000 – 200.000 đồng/kg. Sắp tới giá tôm sẽ còn tăng nữa”, chị Nga cho biết.
Tuy nhiên, theo chị Nga, hầu như người nuôi tôm hùm thương phẩm tại Phú Yên không nuôi tôm lâu vì các thương lái không mua tôm size từ 4 lạng trở lên, hoặc nếu mua sẽ ép giá xuống thấp, trong khi càng nuôi lâu thì chi phí thức ăn sẽ càng tăng cao.
Chính vì vậy, tôm hùm cứ được 2-3 lạng là người nuôi thu hoạch hết để bán. Lượng tôm size từ 1kg trở lên rất hiếm. “Giá tôm hùm đang tăng, nhưng vẫn thấp hơn năm ngoái từ 200.000 – 300.000 đồng/kg, không bõ gì so với công sức và chi phí bỏ ra!”, chị Nga nhận định.
Khảo sát giá tôm hùm xanh tại các cửa hàng hải sản tại Hà Nội, size từ 0,2 – 0,89kg/con được bán với giá 1,5 – 1,7 triệu/kg; size từ 0,9 – 1,15 kg/con giá từ 2 – 2,350 triệu/kg; size 1,16 – 1,69kg/con giá 2,5 – 2,7 triệu/kg; size 1,7 – 2kg giá từ 3 – 3,2 triệu/kg.
